Dr. Colin Ross

Summary

Dr. Colin Ross is a psychiatrist and author based in Dallas, Texas, recognized as a leading expert on CIA mind control experiments, particularly MK Ultra. He has extensively researched declassified documents and interviewed survivors of mind control experiments.

Background

• Psychiatrist based in Dallas, Texas
• Author of multiple books on mind control and trauma
• Leading expert on CIA mind control experiments
• Has investigated declassified MK Ultra documents

Key Research

MK Ultra Timeline

According to Dr. Ross, the mind control programs form a continuous set of projects:

• 1947: Formation of the CIA
• 1950: Project Bluebird and Artichoke began
• 1954-1963: MK Ultra
• 1963-1972: MK Search
• Post-1972: Everything still classified

Program Structure

Dr. Ross identified that MK Ultra had 149 sub-projects, roughly divided into thirds:

1. Industrial procurement contracts (chemicals, compounds, mushrooms)
2. Academic research contracts (unwitting investigators)
3. Direct CIA contracts (witting investigators with top secret clearance)

Document Destruction

What we're told is that in 1973 Richard Helms, who was then the director of the CIA, ordered the destruction of all mind control documents - MK Ultra and related programs. But apparently seven boxes survived in an archive and were discovered later.

Key Findings

Manchurian Candidate

Dr. Ross confirms the Manchurian Candidate concept is based on fact:

• Artificially created multiple personalities
• Code words used to activate alter identities
• Subjects have amnesia for missions
• Documented in declassified materials going back to the 1940s

Subject Numbers

• 50,000+ subjects in Army LSD experiments alone
• 125+ different compounds tested by the Army
• Tens to hundreds of thousands total participants across all programs
• Estimated dozens to hundreds of deaths

Notable Cases Documented

• Ted Kaczynski (Unabomber): Harvard undergraduate involved in Dr. Murray's interrogation experiments and LSD experiments supplied by Dr. Robert Hyde (MK Ultra contractor)
• Ken Kesey, Allen Ginsburg, Timothy Leary: First received LSD from Army/CIA psychiatrists

Quotes

The Manchurian Candidate is basically based on the book and the movie... it's really of course the Hollywood version is fiction but it's based on fact.

You could be involved in the whole program to create the Manchurian candidate which would be probably a relatively small number of people.

Media Appearances

Dr. Ross has appeared in numerous documentaries and interviews exposing mind control programs, including the video "A Doctor and A Former FBI Agent Exposing The Mind Control Program And The Terrorist Watch List."
